Thursday, 4 February 2021 | Indirect Tax Live: Free trade agreements - A trip around the world (4 pm BST)

On Thursday, 4 February, EY will host the latest in our series of global webcasts focusing on hot topics in indirect taxation. In this webcast our global trade professionals will take a trip around the world — looking at new and existing free trade agreements and providing insights into what businesses can expect in the coming year.

Global trade continues to make news headlines. Activity related to Brexit, a pending EU/China investment agreement, challenges with the USMCA and now a new US Administration all contribute to the ever fluid nature of global trade.

In addition, the recent signing of the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) between ASEAN, Japan, South Korea, China, Australia and New Zealand represents the largest free trade agreement ever signed.

Join us for a 60-minute webcast during which EY Global Trade professionals will provide insights on the following topics:

  • FTAs in general — their purpose, benefits and strategic role in your supply chain
  • Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP)
  • The evolving FTA landscape in Europe:
    • Brexit
    • EU/China agreement
  • FTAs in the Americas:
    • USMCA
    • Post-election insights on trade and trade agreements
  • Leading practices and strategies for using FTAs

We hope you will be able to join us.
