When does reinventing the wheel make perfect sense?
We are at the threshold of an evolution in road transport that will benefit the environment and the way we live our lives. Right now, road transport accounts for almost one-quarter of Europe’s total greenhouse gas emissions. It is the main cause of pollution in cities and accounts for more than 390,000 premature deaths in Europe every year. If we reduce transport emissions by 90% by 2050, Europe will be well on its way to carbon neutrality. Electrification of road transport promises environmental and commercial gains.
