Thursday, 18 March 2021 | Retail Forum for Indirect Tax (ReFIT) (10 am GMT)

On Thursday, 18 March 2021, EY will host an indirect tax forum, where we will look at the latest indirect tax developments specific to the retail sector.

This webcast will cover the following:

  • The latest on Brexit, with a focus on the practical issues facing businesses importing goods from the EU27 and moving goods to, and through, Northern Ireland under the protocol
  • An update on the way in which the 1 January 2021 e-commerce rules in the UK are impacting businesses in practice and the changes to be implemented across the EU27 from 1 July 2021
  • With the full implementation of the Making Tax Digital requirements affecting VAT returns from 1 April 2021, we will be considering how technology and automation can achieve significant efficiencies throughout the compliance process, as well as meeting the digital journey requirements
  • Some hot topics and case law updates

 What is ReFIT?

ReFIT is an indirect tax forum for people working in Finance/Tax/VAT in a retail environment. The agenda is VAT focused, but we also include other tax issues which are relevant. We aim to provide clear insights into the changes and challenges faced those managing indirect tax.

We hope you will be able to join us.
