Over the last few years, e-commerce platforms have accounted for a greater share of personal shopping volumes as customers seek more personalized experiences and speedy delivery. Before the COVID-19 pandemic, global e-commerce giants increasingly posed a serious competitive challenge for traditional bricks and mortar retailers.
