Wednesday, 6 July 2022 | What’s next for the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (12:30 BST)

This client webcast is the fourth episode in a series designed to help leaders responsible for sustainability strategy and reporting understand how to create and protect value by embedding sustainability into their business strategies, transformation programs, reporting regimes and communications.

In the third episode of the webcast series entitled, How the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive will transform your organization, which ran live on 05 April and is now available on-demand, panelists explored the impact of the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and how it marks a step change in reporting and in the assurance of nonfinancial information.

As a follow-up, this episode will cover the latest developments and the status of the 13 ESRS that are now available as exposure drafts (EDs) and open for public consultation and comments until 08 August 2022.

The topics to be discussed will cover:

  • The final CSRD (including scope, timeline and related standards)

  • The ESRS exposure drafts

  • Three key aspects of ESRS EDs that constituents are expected and welcome to give feedback on

Questions addressed:

  • What are the key changes in the final CSRD and the next important steps?

  • What will the timeline be for companies to achieve CSRD compliance?

  • What are the biggest challenges for companies on their sustainability journey?
