The new plastic packaging tax (PPT) in Italy is due to come into effect on 1 January 2023 – the same date as the new PPT in Spain. Recently, the Spanish government released a document answering some of the frequently asked questions from businesses, pointing toward the nuances and complexity of the new tax. 

During the webcast, panelists will discuss the FAQ document issued in Spain and how this might impact preparation practices.  With 1 January 2023 approaching quickly, we will discuss leveraging experience from PPT implementation in the UK. In addition, we will share some of the lessons learned from our experiences with companies preparing for the new taxes in Spain and Italy to help you get ready for the compliance requirements.

An outlook on expected developments globally will also be shared. There will be an opportunity to ask questions.
