UK | Immigration takeaways from the Prime Minister’s speech on 21 November 2022

On 21 November 2022, the United Kingdom (UK) Prime Minister made immigration-related announcements in a speech to the Confederation of British Industry (CBI). Notably, he dispelled the reported notion that the UK would pursue an immigration arrangement with the European Union (EU) similar to that between the EU and Switzerland, which allows for the free movement of people between Switzerland and the EU.
