China Mainland eliminates pre-travel COVID-19 test requirement
Effective 30 August 2023, individuals seeking to enter the Chinese mainland will no longer be required to get tested for COVID-19 prior to travel. Further, effective 30 August 2023, individuals seeking to enter the Chinese mainland will still be required to complete a Health Declaration Form, but the COVID-19-related section will be removed from the form. Currently, all individuals seeking to enter the Chinese mainland are admissible provided they test negative for a rapid antigen COVID-19 test no more than 48 hours prior to departure and complete the Health Declaration Form, which includes COVID-19-related information.
