Thursday, 15 June 2023 | Inbound tax controversy update in Japan (1 pm JST)

We know tax audits are always high on your agenda, as is the case for all multinational enterprises (MNEs) investing in Japan. Post-COVID we are seeing an intensification of tax examinations, and a more targeted approach, as announced by the tax authorities. Given its importance to you we are hosting this webcast to update you on the latest controversy trends and likely areas of future focus of the tax authorities.

Our team of experienced professionals who focus on MNEs investing in Japan will provide updates in the areas of corporate tax, consumption tax, transfer pricing, and customs examinations.

In addition, we will provide updates on the approaches companies are employing to mitigate the controversy risk through rulings and advance pricing agreements.

We aim to leave time for a Q&A session at the end of the webcast, but you can also leave your questions in the section of the webcast assessment form. We will contact you with our response.
