05 June 2024 Qatar to enforce travel restrictions on individuals with unpaid traffic fines On 22 May 2024, Qatar's Ministry of Interior (MOI) announced on X the introduction of new regulations that will prohibit individuals with traffic violations from exiting Qatar until all fines are settled. Effective 1 September 2024, individuals with traffic violations will not be able to exit Qatar through any of its borders (i.e., land, air or sea) until all fines are settled. Individuals can pay all traffic fines through the Metrash2 app, the MOI website, at traffic department offices or associated service centers.
