18 June 2024 Ireland implements changes to registration process for residence permit applicants in the counties of Cork and Limerick Effective 8 July 2024, individuals based in Cork and Limerick (in addition to those based in Dublin, Kildare, Meath or Wicklow) who seek to complete their first-time registration will be required to book an appointment with ISD’s Burgh Quay Registration Office in Dublin via a dedicated helpline. They must do so within 90 days or arrival into Ireland. They will have to be in Ireland and have a valid passport and email ID to book the appointment. Upon booking an appointment, individuals will receive an email with the required details. For successful applicants, a new Irish Residence Permit (IRP card) will be sent to their residence within 15 days. A Tax Alert prepared by EY's People Advisory Services group, and attached below, provides additional details. Document ID: 2024-1210 |
