Slovenia's administrative unit staff ends strike, immigration services resume

On 8 July 2024, the staff of Slovenia’s administrative units, including immigration department personnel, resumed normal operations after an almost eight-week strike. While this development is expected to benefit companies that seek to sponsor (or renew) work permits for employees, the strike has led to application backlogs, which may cause delays in application processing in the upcoming weeks.
