China introduces new visa-free policy for nationals of Cyprus, Greece, Portugal and Slovenia

Effective 15 October 2024, nationals of Cyprus, Greece, Portugal and Slovenia will be able to enter China Mainland for business, tourism or family visit purposes, or transit through the jurisdiction, without a visa. The visa-free policy will remain in effect until 31 December 2025. The visa-free policy will apply to eligible holders of ordinary passports issued by Cyprus, Greece, Portugal and Slovenia. These individuals will be able to enter China Mainland and stay in the jurisdiction for up to 15 days without a visa per entry. Those who do not meet the conditions for visa-free policy or intend to stay in the jurisdiction for more than 15 days will still be required to obtain a visa prior to entry.
