23 October 2024 Chile suspends all flights to Venezuela On 27 September 2024, all commercial flights from Chile to Venezuela were indefinitely suspended. This comes a few months after Chile began allowing Venezuelan nationals to leave the country using expired travel documents, regardless of their immigration status in the country. Currently, the Chilean authorities are also debating a bill that proposes restricting the entry of most Venezuelan nationals for six months. This bill, which has not yet been passed by parliament, will not impact Venezuelan citizens residing in Chile, or those transiting through the country.
