Ireland introduces new online system for foreign nationals seeking to schedule first-time registration appointments

Effective 24 October 2024, first-time registration appointments can be made or modified through the Department of Justice’s newly launched Digital Contact Centre (DCC). The authorities plan to expand the services available on this self-service portal to eventually allow individuals to raise queries regarding visas, travel documents, EU treaty rights and citizenship applications, among others. This new portal was launched as part of the Department’s ongoing efforts to digitize Ireland’s immigration systems. This change is expected to streamline the process for individuals who seek to undertake work in Ireland.
