13 December 2024 Israel to launch Electronic Travel Authorization system effective 1 January 2025 Effective 1 January 2025, visa-free foreign nationals who seek to undertake short-term visits to Israel for business or tourism purposes will be required to submit an online application on the new Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) system prior to entering Israel. All visa-free foreign nationals (including primary applicants and dependents, regardless of age) who seek to visit Israel for up to 90 days will be required to apply online on the ETA portal at least 72 hours prior to their entry and provide details regarding the purpose of their current visit (including employer information) and previous visits, if applicable. The authorities will process ETA applications within 24 to 72 hours. Individuals will be required to pay a non-refundable application fee of ILS 25 (approx. USD 7). In case the authorities require additional information, applicants will be directed to a government-authorized support center or the Israeli embassy or consulate closest to their location.
