19 March 2024 Thursday, 28 March 2024 | EU Deforestation Regulation: Supply chain challenges and opportunities (14:00 CET) The EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) aims to ensure certain products and commodities imported into, traded within or exported from the EU have not led to deforestation or forest degradation, and have been produced in compliance with the legislation of the country of origin. For an overview of the EUDR, please watch our EY webcast from 23 February 2024. Businesses will need to have a clear view on what goods are sourced, where they are sourced from and where they end up. Non-compliance with the EUDR can lead to goods being stopped at the EU border and significant fines. Corporate commitments to reduce emissions and biodiversity loss coupled with the EUDR means businesses are required to re-evaluate global supply chains. Do you have full visibility of your suppliers? What could the EUDR mean for your sourcing decisions and supply flows? Have you modelled the potential incremental cost implications for greater supply chain visibility? During the upcoming webcast, we will explore potential supply chain considerations and implications when embedding the EUDR, share a case study illustrating what we are seeing in the market and finish on how the EUDR could act as a catalyst for sustainable business transformation. Speakers will include EY professionals experienced in deforestation and sustainability tax, legal and consulting projects. If the timing doesn’t work for you, please register and you’ll receive the replay for you to view at your own convenience.
