Wednesday, 3 July 2024 | Navigating anti-greenwashing rules: turning risk into value (12:15 CEST)

With a particular spotlight on greenwashing in the EU and UK, the EU is pushing forward new rules to address greenwashing and empower consumers in the green transition, with the EU Green Claims Directive and Empowering Consumers Directive.

The new rules will impact all companies selling and marketing products and services to consumers in the EU and will mandate substantiation of sustainability-related claims and labels.

  • Are you aware of new anti-greenwashing rules and what they might mean for your business?

  • How are you keeping on top of sustainability-related communications made by the business?

  • Are your policies and processes up to the task of identifying, evaluating and managing risks related to green marketing and claims?

  • How can technology like GenAI support risk identification and management, and on-going monitoring?

Now is the time to act to avoid sizeable fines, enhance reputation, boost consumer trust, and promote sustainable and ethical business practices.

You are invited to a special 75-minutes webcast where speakers will discuss the new rules, implications and how companies are responding.  Please note that this webcast will not cover new rules impacting the financial services sector.

Join us to hear about:

  • Global regulatory context of greenwashing

  • Overview of EU regulations: requirements, timeline and non-compliance risks

  • Perspectives on how companies stack up

  • Proactive approaches to address greenwashing

  • How EY teams can help

Speakers will include EY professionals experienced in sustainability regulatory projects.

If the timing doesn’t work for you, please register and you’ll receive the replay for you to view at your own convenience.

We look forward to seeing you there!
