With a particular spotlight on greenwashing in the EU and UK, the EU is pushing forward new rules to address greenwashing and empower consumers in the green transition, with the EU Green Claims Directive and Empowering Consumers Directive. 

The new rules will impact all companies selling and marketing products and services to consumers in the EU and will mandate substantiation of sustainability-related claims and labels.
