06 February 2025 Japan to increase fees for several immigration applications Effective 1 April 2025, the Japanese government will increase the processing fees for certain immigration applications. These changes are expected to impact companies that employ foreign nationals in Japan or send impacted individuals to Japan for business purposes. Organizations may consider the new fees in connection with their workforce planning and update their internal policies as required. To reduce expenses, companies may consider utilizing online application processes. This can not only help companies save on government fees but also eliminate costs associated with commuting to immigration offices.
