03 April 2025 Ireland to launch enhanced Employment Permits Online (EPOS) system The Department of Enterprise, Trade and Employment (DETE) has announced the launch of a new Employment Permits Online (EPOS) system, designed to modernize and enhance the employment permit application process. This system will replace the current EPOS system, providing a more efficient, secure and user-friendly experience for employers, employees and agents. Once the new EPOS system is launched, all users will be required to create individual accounts, which will require email verification and multi-factor authentication to ensure security. Employers will also need to provide additional corporate documentation during the registration process. The new system will enable users to access both current and historical applications, track application statuses, and manage account details with greater control. In addition, employment permit applications will be completed collaboratively by employers and employees, requiring e-signatures from all parties involved. A Tax Alert prepared by EY's People Advisory Services, and attached below, provides additional details. Document ID: 2025-0812 |
