Chad suspends issuance of visas to nationals of the United States

The government of Chad recently suspended the issuance of visas to nationals of the United States in response to the US government’s travel restrictions on Chadian nationals. The Chad government’s reciprocal enforcement follows the US government’s announcement in June 2025 of travel restrictions on nationals of 12 countries, including Chad. The suspension applies to business, tourist and transit visas and will remain in place until further notice.
