Ireland introduces online payment of visa application fees for nationals of certain jurisdictions

The Irish immigration authorities introduced online payment of visa application fees for individuals residing in certain jurisdictions via the AVATS online platform. Previously, payment methods varied by embassy or consulate, and included bank drafts, electronic fund transfers and payments via visa facilitation centers. Effective 8 December 2025, individuals applying for Irish visas in certain jurisdictions are required to pay their application fees online.
