On 22 May 2025, the US House of Representatives passed a budget reconciliation bill to extend Tax Cuts & Jobs Act provisions expiring at the end of 2025, provide border security funding and cut certain mandatory spending. The bill now goes to the US Senate for consideration, where modifications are expected.
