Ghana introduces e-Visa and waives visa fees for African nationals

Effective 25 May 2026, Ghana introduced an e-Visa platform for business travelers and tourists, with decisions expected within 48 hours for complete applications. Additionally, all African nationals traveling to Ghana for business and tourism are exempt from visa fees. The new immigration policy aims to enhance ease of travel, stimulate increased trade and tourist inflows, while also deepening Ghana’s bilateral cooperation with partner nations.
