18 June 2026 Qatar reduces post-cancelation stay period for residence permits to 14 days On 15 June 2026, Qatar’s Ministry of Interior announced that individuals whose residence permits are canceled must depart the country within 14 days from the date of cancelation. This change is effective immediately. This represents a significant reduction from the previous grace period of 30 days to 14 days. Employers may update their internal policies and processes, and inform impacted employees as required.
