07 July 2026 Kuwait announces long-term residency of up to 15 years for investors and senior executives in KDIPA-licensed companies On 14 June 2026, the Council of Ministers of Kuwait issued Resolution No. 651 of 2026 introducing a new residency framework, allowing eligible foreign investors and senior executives in Kuwait Direct Investment Promotion Authority (KDIPA)-licensed companies to obtain residency permits valid for up to 15 years. The initiative aims to strengthen Kuwait’s position as an attractive destination for foreign direct investment by providing greater long-term residency stability for investors. The resolution was issued under Kuwait’s Residency of Foreigners framework in coordination with the Ministry of Interior.
